Georgia Performance Standards

The state government here in Georgia has given schools a list of skills and information that students in 9th grade English or Language Arts classes should learn. It will help you do well in this class if you know what will be expected of you. Click on the links below to learn more about the state’s standards for freshman English. Students can earn extra credit by “translating” the standards, explaining why they are important, and by creating independent work that shows mastery of the skills and information they need to learn.
